Goal of the Month Winners

JoJo’s team United Blue was playing the championship game at the Needham Memorial Day Tournament. The opposing team was leading 1:0 in the 2nd half. JoJo (#22) scored the final goal, which tied up the score with just a few minutes left in the game. 

With under nine minutes left and momentum slipping after recent heartbreaking losses, Amelia Rivera buried a brilliantly struck upper-90 free kick that instantly lifted the team’s confidence. Her goal ignited a late rally, carrying the girls to a 5–3 victory and giving Amelia the belief her teammates had held in her for years.
